Some sunsets don’t just fade into the horizon. They settle quietly within us.

These evocative lines by Sangeeta Gupta capture that fleeting moment when solitude, memory, and light dissolve into one another. A moment where the setting sun becomes more than a spectacle, becoming a companion to our deepest reflections.

And in that shared silence, one question lingers:
Who is lonelier, the sun or the soul watching it descend?

The Quiet that Remains

Some books are read. Some are felt.

The Quiet that Remains: A Poetic Mapping of Memory and Emotion by Dr. Usha Mujoo Munshi is deeply special to me because it carries, within its pages, my artworks alongside her poetic mapping of memory and emotions.

The coming together of poetry and visual art creates a space where memory, silence and emotion speak to each other—sometimes through words, sometimes through an image, and often through what remains unspoken.

I am deeply honoured that my artworks are part of this beautiful book, published by Vitasta.

I look forward to being at the book discussion and speak a few words at India International Centre, New Delhi, on 18 August 2026 at 6 PM, chaired by K. N. Shrivastava, Director, IIC, with Dr. Usha Mujoo Munshi and many more from the world of Literature.

Some collaborations become books.
Some become a quiet part of you.

This one is special to me.
