Don’t miss the walk-through of Anasuya Mohapatra’s solo show this ART NIGHT THURSDAY 10th October, 6-9pm at Kamalnayan Bajaj art gallery, Bajaj Bhavan, 226, Nariaman Point, Mumbai.
In "Ivory Forest," Anasuya’s sculptures frequently depict adolescent female figures, reflecting both the tangible and intangible narratives of the female experience. By incorporating textile and cross-stitching patterns, she seamlessly merges her personal heritage with her artistic vision. Her intricate carvings and soft color palettes invite viewers to engage deeply with themes of identity, memory, and femininity.
Today, Anasuya stands at the forefront of integrating sola wood into contemporary art, bridging its historical significance with modern artistic expressions. She seamlessly blends traditional techniques with innovative approaches, preserving the craft's rich heritage while pushing its boundaries. Her work not only maintains the physical craft of sola wood but also revitalizes its narrative and cultural significance in the modern era.

Our organisation is Hiring. We have an Art Gallery in Mumbai at Worli and studio facilities in Baroda .
We’re looking for dedicated Cataloguing and Exhibition set up interns in Mumbai for the next 3-4 months.

Start date: Immediately
Stipend: 10,000-12,000/month

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Digitising and Cataloguing press clippings and CDs of the gallery.
2. Helping with exhibitions displayed over the next 3-4 months as required.
3. Helping with day-to-day operations- social media, exhibition set up etc.
4. Interns may have to travel within Mumbai for work- to set up exhibitions or for any other work required.

Requirements:
Excellent English written and spoken skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Efficient time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work well in a team.
Social media marketing/digital marketing skills are a plus.
Candidates with/pursuing journalism, mass communications, art history, visual arts, digital marketing or graphic design degrees preferred.

IMPORTANT:
Candidates must be willing to travel to other locations in Mumbai depending on work given- eg. exhibitions or hi-res scanning. (stipend for this travel will be provided)
The gallery is in Worli, Mumbai so candidates must be willing to travel there.
Interns will be required to work up to 5 hours a day- either in-person or remotely. They will be required to come in 2-5 days a week depending on the work.
Strong written and spoken English skills are required for clear and coherent cataloguing.

Additional:
They must be available on Whatsapp to respond quickly and give regular update reports.

We will provide a Certificate and Letter of recommendation upon completion of the internship. The duration of the internship will be 3 months and above.
