For the 9th Museum Mixer, we celebrated Saleem Kidwai through the things, stories and anecdotes.

From the book that he had gifted 27 years ago to his personal collection of CDs, the evening brought together his friends, admirers and various aspects of his life that he adored- books, music, stories, memories of his kindness, his love for murder mysteries and his endless conversations.

The day ended with old Hindi film songs that Saleem loved, trying to bring together everything that was a part of his world.

We talked about modern relationships and how they are shaping up today at the Eighth Museum Mixer.

Facilitated by Toshani, the discussion encouraged participants to reflect on how relationships are shaped today- friendships, chosen families, expectations, emotional labour, communication, heteronormativity, and the complexities of navigating connections in a rapidly changing world. The evening became a space for honest conversations and reflections.
