About the Artist:
Dr. (Hon.) Bhavana Maru is an internationally recognized artist and the Founder, Director, and CEO of Bodhi Art and Culture. A multifaceted creative personality, she is an artist, writer, poet, calligrapher, interior designer, photographer, traveler, and a preserver of cultural values and ancient wisdom through Brahmi script.
Academically accomplished, she holds a Master of Law degree along with qualifications in management and several other disciplines. She is also the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of her remarkable contributions to art and culture.
Born on International Artist Day, Dr. Maru has dedicated her life to creativity and artistic excellence. She studied and practiced art in Europe, gaining international exposure and recognition. Her work spans diverse fields including fine art, folk art, miniature art, mural art, literature, and Ikebana. Through her many achievements, she has earned global acclaim, won hundreds of prestigious awards, and is also a Guinness World Record holder.
For Dr. Maru, art is life and a source of peace of mind. She believes in the transformative power of colors, using every hue and shade to express emotions and enrich life through artistic expression. Her deep passion for art history, mythology, traditional values, and Vedic wisdom has greatly influenced her creative journey.
From childhood, she was driven by curiosity and self-discovery, often reflecting on profound questions such as “Who am I?” and exploring themes related to the creation of the universe. Inspired by universal truths, myths, and ancient lore, she developed a unique artistic style rooted in meditation, healing, blessings, and spirituality.
Her artworks are known for their hidden spiritual symbolism, understood deeply by rare enlightened minds. One of her most celebrated collections, Cosmic Bliss—a series of fifty-five artworks—beautifully presents cosmic signs and symbols in a simple yet profound visual language.
Dr. Bhavana Maru continues to inspire the world through her visionary art, cultural preservation, and dedication to spreading peace, wisdom, and creativity.
