Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha Samanway Kshetra

Siu-Ka-Pha Samanway Kshetra is situated in Jorhat and its a major tourist attraction of upper Assam This kingdom lasted for more than 600years .

The Great Tai Prince, Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha, entered Assam on 2nd December 1228 and established the Ahom Kingdom by declaring Che-rai-doi as the capital, in the year 1253 A.D. This kingdom covered the whole of Brahmaputra valley within a short span of time. The Britishers annexed the kingdom in 1826 temporarily . But in 1836 they completely subjugated the whole state and the state became d

ependent till 1947. The Tai people under the leadership of 39 kings formed a united nationality known as Assamese. An unified language (Assamese) came up and now it is the state language of Assam. A cultural unity emerged which is significant within Indian Culture.

🌍 World Environment Day 2026 Observed at Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha Samanway Kshetra

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha Samanway Kshetra (Society), Mohbondha, Jorhat, organised a tree plantation programme within its premises, reaffirming its commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development

The initiative witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the officers and staff members of the Kshetra, who joined hands in planting saplings and spreading awareness about the importance of preserving our natural environment.
