of India preserve the diverse and rich legacy of Indian medical heritage, including the AYUSH system Activities:
Survey and acquisition of rare medical manuscripts and rare books on Ayush systems of medicine, Modern medicine etc., in different languages. Transcription, transliteration, translation, and publication of medical works based on manuscripts, rare books, and unpublished works related to

Ayush systems and to bring out critical editions in print & electronic form. Collection of medical information from other sources like ancient non-medical literature – Vedas, Puranas etc., Archaeological & Epigraphical sources, accounts of foreign travellers in India. Study of historical development and evolution of concepts of diseases, drugs and other aspects of Ayush Systems. Preparation of biographies of physicians/authors, and commentators of classical medical literature of different periods. Projects for writing History of Medicine Area wise, Period wise, and Theme wise. Collection, editing, and publication of News & Notes and historical materials, including the publication of the Bulletin of the Institute & Monographs. Organization of exhibitions on some specific occasions like seminars, celebrations, etc., to exhibit the development of medicine in India and for dissemination of Indian Medical systems. Referral services and guidance to research scholars. Preparation of bibliographies of journals/articles on the History of Medicine. Collection of oral history i.e., audio recording and the historical background and other details like palm-leaf and paper manuscripts, old books, certificates of grants, awards, etc., from hereditary physicians and traditional medical practitioners in and around Hyderabad city. Development and maintenance of Medico-historical Library. Development and maintenance of Medico-historical Museum. Design and development of IT applications to document and preserve Ayush medical heritage. Maintaining CCRAS-RMIS (Research Management Information System) – a continuous service since March 2014.

🌿 सीसीआरएएस-राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान (NIIMH), हैदराबाद द्वारा CISF यूनिट BDL, कंचनबाग में ‘आयुर्वेद जागरूकता व्याख्यान’ का सफल आयोजन 🌿

आयुष मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार एवं केंद्रीय आयुर्वेदीय विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (CCRAS), नई दिल्ली के मार्गदर्शन में राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान (NIIMH), हैदराबाद ने CISF यूनिट BDL, कंचनबाग में एक विशेष आयुर्वेद जागरूकता व्याख्यान एवं जन-जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया।

मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. जी. पी. प्रसाद, प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक, NIIMH ने प्रकृति परीक्षण, दिनचर्या, ऋतुचर्या, संतुलित एवं सात्विक आहार तथा रसायन चिकित्सा के माध्यम से स्वास्थ्य संवर्धन एवं रोगों की रोकथाम पर व्यावहारिक जानकारी साझा की। प्रश्नोत्तर सत्र में डॉ. संतोष माने ने भी स्वास्थ्य संबंधी जिज्ञासाओं का समाधान किया।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान आयुर्वेद एवं स्वस्थ जीवनशैली से संबंधित IEC सामग्री एवं जागरूकता पुस्तिकाओं का वितरण किया गया तथा पर्यावरण संरक्षण एवं औषधीय पौधों के संवर्धन के उद्देश्य से CISF परिसर के लिए औषधीय पौधे भेंट किए गए।

कार्यक्रम में वरिष्ठ समादेष्टा श्री सुचित त्यागी एवं सहायक समादेष्टा श्री पी. सुभाष सहित CISF के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों एवं जवानों की उत्साहपूर्ण सहभागिता रही। कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी प्रतिभागियों ने स्वस्थ एवं संतुलित जीवन के लिए आयुर्वेदिक दिनचर्या अपनाने का संकल्प लिया।

राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान (NIIMH), हैदराबाद द्वारा सीआईएसएफ हाकिमपेट में 'आयुर्वेद जागरूकता व्याख्यान' का आयोजन
आयुष मंत्रालय एवं केंद्रीय आयुर्वेदीय विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (CCRAS), नई दिल्ली के दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुपालन में, राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान (NIIMH), हैदराबाद द्वारा 28 जुलाई 2026 को सीआईएसएफ (CISF), साउथ ज़ोन-II मुख्यालय, हाकिमपेट में ‘स्वास्थ्य में आयुर्वेद आधारित जीवनशैली का महत्व’ विषय पर एक विशेष जन-जागरूकता व्याख्यान का सफल आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य सुरक्षा बलों के अधिकारियों, जवानों तथा उनके परिजनों को दैनिक जीवन में आयुर्वेद के सिद्धांतों को अपनाने और प्राकृतिक रूप से स्वस्थ जीवनशैली बनाए रखने के प्रति जागरूक करना था। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में संस्थान के प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक डॉ. जी. पी. प्रसाद ने दैनिक दिनचर्या, ऋतुचर्या, संतुलित आहार तथा आयुर्वेद के माध्यम से बीमारियों से बचाव व स्वास्थ्य संवर्धन पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला। व्याख्यान के उपरांत आयोजित प्रश्नोत्तरी सत्र में NIIMH के डॉ. जी. पी. प्रसाद एवं डॉ. संतोष माने (अनुसंधान अधिकारी) ने उपस्थित जवानों एवं उनके परिजनों की स्वास्थ्य संबंधी शंकाओं का समाधान किया। साथ ही, संस्थान के श्री के. श्रीनिवास राव (पुस्तकालय एवं सूचना सहायक) द्वारा सूचना व शैक्षिक सामग्री (IEC Material) का वितरण किया गया एवं पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से सीआईएसएफ परिसर के उद्यान हेतु विभिन्न वनौषधियाँ व औषधीय पौधे भेंट किए गए। इस अवसर पर सीआईएसएफ की ओर से सहायक समादेष्टा श्रीमती ..., कार्यपालक श्री सुमित कुमार दास तथा अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों व जवानों ने उत्साहपूर्वक सहभागिता दर्ज कराई और NIIMH की इस स्वास्थ्यवर्धक पहल की सराहना करते हुए आयुर्वेद को अपनी जीवनशैली में अपनाने का संकल्प लिया।

🎉 Celebrating Heritage & Knowledge on a Historic Day! 🎉

On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Kakatiya University (1976–2026), a team from the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences - National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad, paid a special visit to the International Naturopathy Library and Research Centre in Hanumakonda, Telangana on 24-07-2026.

Led by Dr Goli Penchala Prasad, Assistant Director in charge, the NIIMH team attended the historic event and engaged in crucial efforts to collect and preserve rare Naturopathy books, journals, and historical documents.

💡 Key Highlights of the Visit:
Preserving Medical Heritage: Dr Prasad highlighted the rare and invaluable collection of Prof. Rameshwaram housed at the NIIMH Museum, emphasising the institute's pivotal role in safeguarding Naturopathy heritage.

Digital Archives: To further enrich the NIIMH Hyderabad Museum, the team collected digital archives showcasing the works and lives of various luminaries in the field of Naturopathy arts.
