Thank you for your kind and heartwarming response to Standing on the Sacred Ground.

The exhibition became a platform for a conversation on the many ways we encounter the sacred, be it through mythology, memory, nature, ritual or lived experience.

The show brought together diverse artistic practices, and we extend our gratitude to each artist for their contribution.

An evening of art, conversation and music

Yesterday evening, Standing on Sacred Ground came alive at Bikaner House with a preview of the exhibition and a thoughtful conversation moderated by Avantika Bhuyan.

The exhibition brings together artists who look inward while drawing from an expansive world of myths, legends, memories and everyday encounters. What do we hold sacred- the material, the subject, our roots, the stories we inherit, or the very act of making?

Drawing from indigenous practices, traditional motifs and familiar objects, the artists recontextualise these fragments of lived and inherited worlds, bringing their own sense of reverence to the practice of art.

The exhibition brings together the works of Arunkumar H G, Asim Waqif, Guruvinayak Singh Budhwar, Pooja Iranna, Rakesh Patel, Salik Ansari, Shanthamani Muddaiah, Shweta Mansingka and Tanmay Santra, exploring transformation through material, memory, history and perception.

Bringing together works by 55 artists, The Ganesha Edit explores the many interpretations, forms and visual languages through which Ganesha continues to inspire artists across generations.

The exhibition will be inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Sri Laxma Goud on 9 September at 5:30 PM.

We would like to announce that the opening of our upcoming exhibition, Standing on Sacred Ground, has been postponed to 14 September 2026 due to the BRICS Summit taking place in Delhi on 12 and 13 September.

Standing on Sacred Ground is a group exhibition bringing together works by Bolgum Nagesh Goud, Bratin Khan, Dhruti Mahajan, Keerti Pooja, Mayadhar Sahu, Rayana Giridhara Gowd, and Sachin S. Jaltare.

The exhibition opens with an evening of art, conversation and music, moderated by Avantika Bhuyan, Mint Lounge, from 5:30–6:30 PM, followed by the preview at 7:00 PM.
