Today, we have done short rally about a Khet Bachao Abhiyan (Save Farmland Campaign) was successfully conducted at Hee GPU Dentam west Sikkim with the active participation of local farmers, community members, and officials. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting agricultural land, promoting sustainable farming practices, and preserving the region's agricultural heritage.
During the program, participants discussed the challenges facing farmland, including land degradation, improper land use, and the need for better soil and water conservation measures. Awareness sessions were organized to educate farmers on modern and eco-friendly agricultural practices that can improve productivity while protecting the environment.
The campaign also emphasized the collective responsibility of the community in safeguarding fertile agricultural land for future generations. Participants expressed their commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture and ensuring food security in the region.
