Sharing pieces and people from the journey.

Purdil Nagar is a town where many homes double up as bangle and bead making workshops.

Lush, tangled, and a little dramatic. I brought a stash of glass bangles with me when I moved and everytime I play with them, they surprise me.

No, I haven’t disappeared under a pile of glass shards (though that’d be a story!). I’m still breathing, still creating (in my head), but glass is on a bit of a siesta while I figure out this whole ‘life in the US’ thing! Let’s just say life has been throwing all sorts of boxes my way…literally and figuratively 😀. Glass art is still in my heart, just taking a breather while we settle in. And while I’m in this creative slow lane, I thought i’d share some snippets from this new world—stay tuned for small adventures and, hopefully soon, shiny glass things!

You know, out of everything I’ll miss about Chennai, it’s gotta be that coastline. See, I grew up in New Delhi, which is a landlocked city. Then there was Ohio – endless cornfields as far as the eye could see. So when we decided to make the move to Chennai, I made sure we settled close to the beach. I mean, why not, right? Living next to one of the longest coastlines in the country was a dream come true.

That beach, it wasn’t just a place to me. It was my sanctuary, my escape, my source of inspiration. A lot of the shoot I did, moments I captured on camera, had that beautiful coastline as its backdrop.

Chennai, with your coastline stretching out like a promise on the horizon, you’ve been more than just a city to me. You’ve been my canvas, my muse, and my home by the sea.

Took some last min shots of this piece “The Swell” before handing it out to the client.
