Mr P.L.Krishna Sha started a small jari Garland Shop under the name and style GANAPATHY VILAS at Iyah Mudali Street, Chintadripet, Chennai 600002 in the year 1940. by bleeings of Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Swamigal,the name of the shop was changed to MURUGAN STORE and that the business was growing steadily. Mr P.L.Krishna Sha expired in the year 1979 and after his demise, his wife Mrs Saraswthi was looking after business for a brief period and she was not able to continue the same due to domestic reasons. B.K.Chanra Sha the son in law of Mr P.L.Krishna Sha and Mrs Saraswthi his ventured in to this business and took the management of the shop. With his creative ideas, he introduced Sandal Garland in 1982. He also manufactured Jari Garlands engraved with names for wedding and also for V VIPs and VIPs in the year 1990
In 1991 the Third generation youngster by name BC.Satishkumar entered into this business. He created the variety of shapes called Gold and Silver pillais. He also created and designed variety of garlands ( i.e. Artificial Flower Garlands, Mothi Garlands, Silk Ball Garlands, Camphor Garlands, Dry fruits Garlands Cardamom, cloves Garlands ) Especially he crested all kinds of garlands for people Andhra and etc. Commonly every one can use Artificial Flower Garlands, Mothi Garlands, Jari worked with Gold and Silver Garlands, Cardamom and Clove Garlands Garland with One rupee coin, currencies ranging from Rs.5 to Rs.100/- also developed LED Lighting Garlands and present we have ranges of garlnd from Rs.20 to Rs 3800/-
