Chandra Ilango Visual Art Foundation Chandra Ilango Visual Art Foundation was started in May 2012 by Artist A.V Ilango in the memory of his wife, Mrs. Chandra. She was also a very good art critic.

Along with being a French professor, Mrs. Chandra had a keen knowledge and interest in Visual Art. She has involved herself in supporting art programs, like choosing works of artists for international shows in France and other countries. She analyzed the works of artists and wrote articles on their works for the catalogs. She also translated many of their catalogs in to French. The foundation that

was started in her memory will function as a trust to support and develop Art, artists and art related activities in Chennai that will focus predominantly for Artists from south India.
