This year, the iconic 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 (𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗦 𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲) will become a vibrant venue for contemporary art and design, bringing together 𝟭𝟴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 — including 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 — alongside 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀.

In Phad painting, the Ramayana is not contained within a single scene. Its world unfolds across the surface, bringing together encounters, journeys, battles, and moments of devotion within one continuous visual narrative.

Rather than separating each episode, the painting allows them to exist together, inviting the viewer to move through the story and discover its many layers. The familiar becomes expansive, as characters and events are brought into a shared visual space shaped by the traditions of storytelling and memory.

At Fabric of the Faith, this Phad painting joins Pichwai, Pachedi, and Pat in exploring how Indian artistic traditions have carried sacred stories across generations.
