079|STORIES presents Truth is Stranger Than Fiction, a solo exhibition by Khanjan Dalal, curated by Lina Vincent, bringing together a decade of ceramic practice spanning 2015 to 2026. Through sculptural forms, experimental materials, and organic wood-firing, Dalal explores the relationship between language, memory, material behaviour, and the forces of nature.

Embracing the unpredictable interventions of fire, ash, atmosphere, and time, his works reveal a practice where control and chance coexist, and process becomes a means of storytelling. Last week on display at 079|STORIES, Ahmedabad.

Three days, three distinct spaces, and a considered presentation of contemporary art and design.

As part of India Art Fair Editions Parallel, 079|STORIES presents Khanjan Dalal’s solo exhibition Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction, alongside a Studio Space Display featuring Vipul Prajapati, Pulkit Prajapati and Radhika Hamlai, a Sculpture Display by Shaik Azgar Ali and Vyom, and a curated display by Duali Designs.

The programme also includes the catalogue unveiling of Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction, followed by a guided walkthrough led by Khanjan Dalal and curator Lina Vincent, offering a closer engagement with the works and ideas shaping the exhibition.

Now open to all, the exhibition brings together works spanning 2015 to 2026, tracing a decade of Dalal’s engagement with clay, language, memory, and the forces of nature.

Through organic wood-firing, Dalal allows fire, ash, atmosphere, and time to intervene in the making process. His works explore the relationship between control and chance, revealing how material behaviour, surface, and process can become forms of storytelling.

The exhibition brings together recent works and sequential series, offering an overview of Dalal’s evolving ceramic practice.

The exhibition will subsequently travel to Latitude 28, New Delhi, in December 2026.

079|STORIES presents Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction, a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Khanjan Dalal, curated by Lina Vincent and hosted by Purva Damani.

Bringing together works developed across a decade of practice, the exhibition explores the relationship between material, memory, language, time and transformation. Through clay, fire and an intentionally unpredictable process, Khanjan’s practice embraces the unexpected, allowing residues, marks and distortions to become part of the story.

Featuring new projects alongside sequential series created between 2015 and 2026, the exhibition offers an evocative look into Khanjan’s evolving ceramic language.

The show opens 6th September 2026 at 079|STORIES 11am to 6pm and continues until 26th September.
