Between rain and sirens, Liza Lurie and Katia Cytryn - under the technical direction of Doron Rubinstein assisted by Mor Sivan- found time to record a podcast on the sugar industry during the 12th century and what was learned from the excavations at Khirbet Minya and Tiberias.
Coming soon as part of the forthcoming exhibition at the Israel Museum on the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem.

פתיחת תערוכת קבע במשכן הכנסת, באוצרות הצוות הנפלא – עדי זיו־אסודרי, אלגרה סבריאגו, נוית פופוביץ׳־גלר ודבורה בן־עמי מרשות העתיקות.
לשם הגיעה גם דלת הקבורה היהודית, שנתגלתה בחפירות שלנו בשנת 2010 בטבריה.
דלת שזמנה מתישהו בין המאות ה־2 ל־4 לספירה; לאחר מכן שימשה כבסיס לעמוד במסגד הגדול של התקופה המוסלמית הקדומה, ובהמשך התגלגלה למבנה מן התקופה הצלבנית, שם שימשה כמדרגה.
וכעת הגיעה לגלגולה הרביעי – לספר סיפור הטומן בחובו את עברה המורכב והעשיר של טבריה..

The opening of a permanent exhibition at the Knesset, curated by the wonderful team – Adi Ziv-Esudri, Alegre Savariego, Navit Popovitz-Geller, and Debora Hochman Ben-Ami of the Israel Antiquities Authority.
Among the objects on display is also the Jewish burial door discovered in our excavations in Tiberias in 2010.
A door dating sometime between the 2nd and 4th centuries CE; later reused as the base of a column in the Great Mosque of the early Islamic period, and subsequently incorporated into a Crusader-period structure, where it served as a doorstep.
Now it has reached its fourth incarnation – telling a story that encapsulates the complex and rich past of Tiberias.

כמה מילות גאווה על סימני הניקוד שלנו:
‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
סימני הניקוד המשמשים אותנו היום הומצאו ושוכללו בהדרגה במחצית השנייה של האלף הראשון לסה"נ בטבריה, והם מכונים "הניקוד הטברני". מטרתם של ממציאי הניקוד ומפתחיו הייתה לשמר את מסורת ההגייה במקרא כפי שנָהגה בפיהם במשך מאות רבות של שנים.
‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
הניקוד הטברני משקף מסורת הגייה בעלת שבע תנועות: פתח וקמץ נבדלו בהגייתם, סגול וצירי נבדלו בהגייתם, חיריק, חולם וקיבוץ־שורוק.
