🚨 SERIES LAUNCH: Episode 1 is live! 🚨
We are officially launching our new podcast series exploring the lives, context, and world of The Apostles!
In Episode 1, we start right where it all began: on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. 🚣‍♂️🐟
Forget the sanitized, passive images often depicted in traditional art. When you look at the archaeology and historical context of 1st-century Judea and Galilee, a much richer—and grittier—picture emerges:
🔨 The "Frankenstein" Vessel: Excavations near Ginosar uncovered a 1st-century fishing boat built from 11 different types of wood. It wasn't a pristine vessel; it was a heavily used, constantly repaired workhorse.
🌊 Brutal Night Labor: Fishing with multi-layered trammel nets meant working in the dark, hauling hundreds of pounds of freezing, wet rope, and driving fish by hand into the mesh.
💰 Heavy Taxation: Fishing wasn't free. The Roman administration under Herod Antipas heavily taxed fishing zones and processing harbors like Magdala (often 30–40% of the catch).
📜 Real Businesses, Real Sacrifice: The Greek text reveals that Peter, James, and John weren't destitute, solitary figures—they were partners (koinonoi) in established commercial enterprises with hired workers. Understanding their financial and social standing makes their decision to drop their nets and follow Jesus all the more profound.
Join us for the start of this journey through the lives of the Twelve!

Hook: The Last SMS of the First Temple Era 📲💔
Imagine standing on the massive stone walls of Lachish in 586 BCE. The Babylonian empire is closing in, and you are staring anxiously into the night sky, waiting for a signal fire from the neighboring fortress of Azekah.
But the distant hills remain pitch black. Azekah has fallen.
This exact moment of sheer dread is captured in Lachish Letter IV—a piece of broken pottery (an ostracon) dug out of the dirt by archaeologists. It beautifully and chillingly validates the text of Jeremiah 34: "When the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah..."
But the rabbit hole goes deeper. In our brand-new episode, we trace this story back to the birth of the most powerful tool ever created: The Alphabet.
It wasn't invented by royal scribes or elite scholars, but by copper and turquoise miners in the Sinai desert. They "hacked" Egyptian hieroglyphs to create a simple, phonetic system that anyone could learn. It was the ultimate democratization of knowledge! ⛏️📜
Want to hear how these two incredible stories collide, and how a tiny inscribed pottery sherd found recently at Tel Lachish reshaped ancient history?

🚨 NEW EPISODE DROP: Secrets of the Bedrock! 🚨
"The stones are crying out..." 🪵✨

What happens when archaeologists dig beneath ancient monuments and touch the raw, unfiltered layers of biblical history? In our most profound, deep-dive episode yet, we are taking you under the surface to explore three stunning archaeological marvels uncovered in the Holy Land just this month!

Here is what we are uncovering this week:

🕵️‍♂️ The Jerusalem Underground Mystery: A massive, 50-meter-long tunnel meticulously hewn into the bedrock near Ramat Rachel. It’s as tall as a two-story building, engineered to perfection, and yet... completely empty. Why did the ancient Kings of Judah pour immense resources into this nameless project?

🚣‍♂️ The Bedrock of Galilee: We are returning to Bethsaida (El-Araj)! Moving straight past the beautiful Byzantine "Church of the Apostles," excavators have finally hit the 1st-century geological bedrock. Hidden in the dirt are authentic lead fishing-net weights and Jewish ritual stone vessels. This is the raw, blue-collar reality where Peter and Andrew actually lived and worked.

🏜️ The Idol in the Desert: An incredible 1,700-year-old Roman statuette of Jupiter/Dushara discovered by an 8-year-old boy in the sands of Makhtesh Ramon, shedding new light on the ancient Nabataean Incense Route and the spiritual battles of the Early Church.

🎧 The "Selah" Moment:
What do a nameless, empty tunnel of human pride, a shattered desert idol, and a few simple, hidden lead fishing weights tell us about God's eternal Kingdom? The answer will change how you look at your daily walk of faith.

Did we just find the physical link between the Apostles and the Sea? 🛶

In our latest episode, we explore the ancient harbor recently unearthed in Bethsaida. This isn’t just archaeology; it’s physical confirmation of the Gospels.

Witness how the stones are crying out to illuminate Scriptural Truth.
