05/10/2026
Three years have passed since the morning when 06:29 marked a moment that changed our lives forever.
In the midst of the war, out of a need to document, remember, and give space to the voices and stories of October 7, the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem created the exhibition 06:29:From Darkness to Light.
The exhibition was curated by Malki Shem Tov, father of Omer Shem Tov, who was abducted from the Nova music festival on October 7 and held hostage by Hamas for 505 days, until his release in February 2025. The story of the exhibition is led by Ella Shani, who lost her father, Itzik Shani, that day.
Today, the exhibition continues to serve as a space for remembrance and testimony, but also as a place to reflect on the strength that emerged alongside the pain: humanity, mutual responsibility, resilience, and hope.
The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem bows its head in memory of those who were murdered, stands alongside the families and communities affected, and continues to carry the stories that must never be forgotten.
We will not forget. From Darkness to Light.
