The Israeli Children's Museum

The Israeli Children's Museum Creating tolerance and dialogue among all of Israel's children via adventures :)

The use of adventures and exhibitions which are an experience rather than a static space is what makes the difference for all visitors, not just those under 12
For continuing our mission of tolerance and respectful dialogue among all Israeli children and achieving our annual goal of half a million children visitors we will be grateful for your support, share or any donation. It takes 20 USD and 2

hours to give one child the adventure of the museum, and the respect he or she learns for others can be worth more than millions. Our Vision
Children have the potential to be and learn almost anything via experience. They can learn how to address one another with respect and interest, understand the difficulties of others who live with disabilities and find new ways to communicate with those who are different. The Israeli Children's Museum has set as a goal to promote tolerance, respectful dialogue and non-violent communication between all Israeli children of all backgrounds and ethnicities. Their respect for one another is the very heart of our future relations as a nation.

Our Ongoing Exhibitions • Dialogue in the Dark: exhibition in complete darkness to explore the unseen, the world in the dark, relying on other senses and the visitors even experience the trust and fear of not being able to see, all with the kind guidance of blind people. • Invitation to silence: exhibition in complete silence about nonverbal communication, a challenge and a unique experience for the hearing, facilitated by deaf and hearing impaired staff. • Dialogue with Time: a unique exhibition which concentrates on the changes in opinions and stereotypes concerning intergeneration relationships, old age and getting older, as a means for creating respect and interest regarding the elderly. This exhibition is facilitated by senior citizens and holocaust survivors. • At eye level: Everyone can be an artist, if they have something to express. By singing, or acting, or painting or shaping something we can share something beyond words, something new. This special exhibition takes the visitor into a world of art, including a theatre, painting and sculpture studio and musical instruments, the visitors are surrounded by contemporary art by known artists and can experience their own creativity in this special adventure. • Children's Trails: There are 5 trails in the museum for 5 different age groups which focus on feelings, imagination and creativity, social relations and the Aliens trail in which we deal with tolerance, respect for others and non-violent dialogue • The exhibitions are well adjusted to the special needs of Israeli children of all ethnicities and backgrounds. The museum has full Hebrew, Arabic and English guidance. The museum's tours are actually stories in which the child takes an active part. In the museum, children are allowed and encouraged to touch the displays, feel them and even be part of the exhibits. The museum offers guided tours for small groups of up to 12 people, guided by guides/actors.. for a visit, a comment or donation - contact [email protected]
