What a cool event to be part of earlier today forming a human version of the ancient art at carrowkeel. Also a few moments of appreciating the Sligo skyline from the stretch to coney island with beautiful landscape 360°. Well done to the organisers for pulling it off. Can't wait to see the aerial shots!

Programme Change:

On Friday 28th, Dr. Frank Prendergast will replace Leo Enright for the third talk in the series Stone, Sky, Syllable. Leo is unfortunately ill and unable to travel.

Frank’s talk will be about "A Possible Solar Cult in Early Bronze Age Ireland" and will focus on his research on wedge tombs, a monument type strongly represented in County Sligo.

Dr. Frank Prendergast is a chartered geodetic surveyor and archaeoastronomer. He holds a PhD from the School of Archaeology, UCD and is one of Ireland's leading authorities on solar alignments in prehistoric monuments.
