It is an absolute joy to welcome Keiko Tanabe to the gallery for her solo exhibition to celebrate the 75th Wexford Festival Opera as part of .
Keiko has spent many years traveling to Ireland as a guest artist to Art In The Open, Wexford’s plein air festival, where she paints around Wexford’s coastline, fishing harbours and many favourite painting spots around the South East.
The gallery has successfully represented Keiko over the years and we are truly delighted to bring this beautiful collection of over twenty watercolour paintings together, all painted on location, each evoking ones senses by her atmospheric palette, fresh and confident brushwork enriched with a drop of Keiko’s gentle spirit and Japanese style while embracing the light of the Irish landscape.
The exhibition opened today to a wonderful response from visitors and one lucky couple spend so long trying to decide which one to bring home, they took two! Thank you, Ian & Sharon 🙏
