Knock Museum tells the story of what happened on the 21st of August 1979, when fifteen ordinary people witnessed an extraordinary event. This event, the Apparition, changed Knock from a small rural village into an international Shrine. At Knock Museum you will gain some insight into the fifteen local witnesses, their lives at that time and why millions of people have come to Knock on pilgrimage since then.

Happy 40th Anniversary to Ireland West Airport Knock! 🎉✈️
To mark the 40th anniversary of the official opening of Ireland West Airport Knock, Knock Museum is delighted to showcase a beautiful painting of the airport by renowned Kiltimagh artist Patrick Dunne.
We remember Monsignor Horan in a special exhibition at Knock Museum to honour his extraordinary vision, determination, and dedication. The museum is open daily from 10am - 6pm, with free admission. Everyone is welcome!

We were delighted to welcome confirmation pupils from St. Paul’s Primary School, Irvinestown with their teachers and priest, Canon Kevin Duffy, to Knock Shrine last week. This wonderful group of recently confirmed young people thoroughly enjoyed their pilgrimage to Knock Shrine. Their visit included a very special Mass celebrated by Canon Kevin in the beautiful Apparition Chapel, followed by a guided tour of the Shrine grounds and museum.
During their visit to the museum, the children were thrilled to meet renowned tenor Emmet Cahill, who hails from Mullingar. Emmet spoke to the pupils about his work in the United States and treated them to a beautiful rendition of Lady of Knock, making the visit even more memorable.
