🌞 Of course, all this great work doesn't happen all by itself! The beauty of Vandeleur Walled Garden is a result of the hard work and dedication of our amazing gardening staff, who not only prune, trim, and plant, but also make sure all areas surrounding the garden are ready to welcome visitors. 🌿

From maintaining the walks, our parking area and entrance, to picking up rubbish in the woods daily, their efforts extend far beyond the garden gates! 🍃🌳

Let’s give them a round of digital applause for all their great work! 👏👏👏 Thank you for all that you do!

🌿 Looking Back: The Making of Our Biodiversity Garden 🌿

As we wrap up this year’s National Biodiversity Week, we’re looking back at the grand finale of our 2024 Biodiversity Garden project. 🎉

🌺 Our Courtyard Biodiversity Garden, a collaboration with our incredible Youthreach participants and supported by Kilrush Credit Union, was finally launched on Thursday, 27th June 2024! 🌱 We proudly unveiled this beautiful garden at the kick-off of that year’s Vandeleur Festival Kilrush. Our Youthreach participants worked tirelessly, and their dedication really paid off. 🐝

🌿Once again, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude to Kilrush Credit Union for spearheading this wonderful project and to the Youthreach staff for ensuring everything ran smoothly. The Biodiversity Garden has continued to thrive over these past two years, and we love watching the changes with each season.

We’re still very proud to look back on what was accomplished together as a team! Thank you for joining us as we remember the process very fondly.

🌻 Step into the buzzing world of biodiversity at Vandeleur Walled Garden & Visitor Centre. 🦋 Join us for a nature filled workshop where little explorers ramble through our biodiversity garden, meet the residents of the Insect Hotel, and then roll up their sleeves to build their very own mini Insect Inn using recycled and sustainable materials. Join us for a perfect blend of creativity, curiosity, and creepy crawlies! 🐜 🐝
