Clare Museum's Education Officer, along with university students Emily, Isabella and Sam, has been out and about around the county to celebrate the Bealtaine Festival. Yesterday they had the enviable opportunity to visit Killaloe Library on the shores of the beautiful Lough Derg.

The 'Fabric of Clare' events showcase a selection of the Clare Embroidery Collection, which is held at Clare Museum. Attendees at the events heard the story behind the Embroidery Collection and its founder and patron Florence Vere O'Brien and had the chance to view items from the collection, including nightdresses, handkerchiefs and handkerchief cases, cushion covers, gardening aprons, threads and patterns.
Sincere thanks to Clare Libraries for hosting these events and to all who came along to enjoy them.
