The Summer of Heritage programme of events are a series of Free guided tours run by the Heritage Office of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

They are suitable for schools, students, families, historic groups and individuals interested in local history. The National Maritime Museum is delighted to participate in this again in Summer 2026.

Tours are between June 13th and September 2nd on Mondays and Wednesdays. The tours take roughly one hour. Tours are at 11:00 am and 12:15 pm each participating day.

Up to 20 people may attend each tour. Tickets are FREE, Tickets must be booked through the website.

Here's the perfect way to make the most of your visit to our beautiful harbour town. The Dún Laoghaire Passport takes you to 9 iconic spots to collect unique stamps, and earn a commemorative shamrock pin! 🍀

Launched this week by Cllr Jim Gildea, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, the Dún Laoghaire Passport encourages people to visit key locations across the town and collect unique stamps along the way.

Here’s how to get yours…
📋 Collect your FREE passport from the Tourism Information Kiosk (off Marine Road/Queens Road junction)
🗺️ Scan the QR code to access a digital map showing all 9 locations
🏛️ Visit these iconic spots and collect unique stamps:

East Pier Battery
Dún Laoghaire Baths
& Museum
Peoples Park

Anseo – Urban Art Trail

Collect stamps at each location, complete the trail, and earn a special commemorative shamrock pin from the kiosk.
