We are in the centre of Dublin's Arts and Antiques Quarter of Francis St in the historic Liberties in Dublin.

Having closed in our premises at 55/56 Francis street in December 2019 we were delighted to be able to re open in our new premises next door and no. 57 Francis street, sharing with Niall Mullen Antiques, in September ( we had planned to re open in April but sadly that could not happen).

Two stunning new pieces by Jackie Hudson Lalor have just arrived at Gallery Zozimus and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome them.

"Samhain" and "Zeus the Bollix", both first shown in Jackie's celebrated solo exhibition "Absinthe & Absence", are now with us and available for our clients.

Jackie's work has such a distinctive energy; bold, evocative, and utterly memorable. From Jackie "an autobiographical narrative runs through my work, exploring issues around psychological trauma, interpersonal relationships and female agency".

Darrie Boushel Payne is the latest artist to join us in Gallery Zozimus.

Originally from Dún Laoghaire, Darrie studied Fine Arts at the IADT in Dún Laoghaire, specialising in ceramic sculpture. His fascination with the human form became central to his work and led him into the film industry, creating sculpture and props at Ardmore Studios. Moving into educational illustration while continuing to pursue his own creative practice Darrie works across sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and infrared photography has always embraced experimentationin his art.

Darrie’s work has been exhibited in galleries and artist-led spaces across the UK and Ireland, including London Contemporary Art, The Pie Factory, and Linden Hall Studio. Now back in Dublin, Darrie continues his artistic journey, bringing together decades of experience and inspiration drawn from the Irish landscape.

We currently have a selection of paintings by Mark O’Neill on show in the gallery. Mark has built a strong reputation over the years for the consistency and quality of his work, with paintings that are both confident and carefully observed.

His work continues to attract interest from collectors and visitors alike, and this selection offers beautiful examples of his keen skill and experience as a painter. We’re pleased to have the work in the gallery and welcome people to come in and view the collection.

Ceramic artist Shauna McCann joins our wonderful cadre of Artists in Gallery Zozimus. Based in rural County Tyrone, Shauna has making beautiful ceramics for more than two decades.

Shauna has won several awards, including a Highly Commended Award at Ceramics of Europe ( Keramikmuseum, Germany, 2014), as well as multiple Arts Council of Northern Ireland bursaries. Her work is held in public and private collections, including Keramikmuseum, Germany; the Irish Linen Museum; the Lisburn City Art Collection; and Tallaght Hospital, Dublin, as well as private collections across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and Canada.

We are excited to welcome Ursula McGivern and Adrian Brothers to Gallery Zozimus!

Both Ursula and Adrian share remarkably parallel paths, Ursula graduating in ceramics from St Mary's University College Belfast in 1978, and Adrian in Fine Art from UCAD Belfast in 1977. Both went on to careers in education and graphic design before joining forces to co-found Kildoag Pottery in 2010.

Together they specialise in Raku and alternative firing techniques. Ursula's work is known for its elegant, simple forms and beautifully smooth surfaces, with colour and surface pattern creating narrative across each piece. Adrian exhibits widely across Ireland and the UK, bringing his own distinctive Fine Art sensibility to the partnership.

We are delighted to have them both with us.
