This is a both sad and a happy post. ...

Sad, because Lone Beiter who has been working at the gallery for over 4 years, is leaving. She has been an absolute joy to work with and will be missed by us and by visitors to the gallery alike.

The post is a happy one though, because she is leaving for the best reason; to dedicate more of her time to her own work. Lone is a uniquely talented artist in her own right, creating exquisite wall pieces and scupltures in ceramics.

Her upcoming show ' "Finding North/ An Réalta Eolais", will run from 19th - 29th November in the Marina Building here in Di**le.

The opening will be Thu 19th 5pm and I would advise anyone in the area to make their way there.

I'd like to wish Lone every success with her show and everything she does in the future!

So sorry to hear that Pat Lawless. GGR26 Solo Sailor’s race has come to an end . Too soon and unexpectedly.

He sailed brilliantly, he and the leading boat of French sailor Damien Guillou maintained a course well ahead of the main fleet . Who knows what would have happened had his equipment not failed , he was closing the gap for the lead each day .

It has been great to be able to cheer him on during the live-streamed updates from the fantastic Golden Globe Race team and I’m very proud to have supported him and to have had my name on the gunnel of his boat throughout the adventure.

Best wishes to Pat and his family who have put so much into this race for the past 8 years. Wishing him a safe return .

He’s raising money for Parkinson’s research. The official donation link is below .

You played a blinder Pat !!
