Join us on 11 July 2026, when Dr Jacqueline Cahill Wilson will give a talk on the recognition of Roman social and cultural influences in late Iron Age Ireland.

"Just over ten years since the Discovery Programme’s (Centre for Archaeology and Innovation Ireland) groundbreaking Late Iron Age and Roman Ireland (LIARI) Project was completed and published, the Former Principal Investigator and later Project Director Jacqueline Cahill Wilson asks if the project changed anything in terms of how Roman influences are recognised and if they are now accepted as part of the contemporary late Iron Age narrative for Ireland."

The talk is part of our Roman Weekend, 11-12 July 2026, 10am-5pm. Visit or website for more information.

A nation that forgets the men and women who stood firm in its darkest hour does not merely lose its memory; it surrenders a portion of its courage. The heroes of war belong not to the past alone, but to the very future that their sacrifice secured.
