"The concept of Mother Earth as a representation of the feminine principle associated with strength, wisdom, nurturing and new life captivates me. Unfortunately, I believe there exists a disparity between masculine and feminine values. This division has emerged from a capitalist, paternalistic society that views the earth as a resource to be exploited rather than as a living entity that supports our existence."

"My practice is rooted in the belief that caring for the Earth begins with paying attention. Through drawing, installation and collaborative making, I create opportunities to reconnect with the living world, with place and with one another. I see creativity as a form of ecological care - helping us imagine and practise more reciprocal ways of living."

"Built around ideas of seeding, growth, and exchange, this work embraces cracks, openings, and movement. It considers care as something permeable, where energy, support, and possibility can pass both in and out."

"Ancient woodlands primarily Oak, Pine and Birch were submerged by rising sea levels after the last Ice Age, leaving preserved tree stumps in intertidal zones.

Ireland has few forests remaining, due to centuries of deforestation; historically with large exports of timber to London after the Great Fire in 1666, agricultural expansion, population growth etc.

Today rising sea levels and coastal development are the primary cause of the depletion and degradation of coastal forests."
