Have you ever wondered what it feels like to transform heartbreak into art?
Some people write songs. Some write journals.
Kartika Affandi chose to paint. 🎨
Following the emotional pain of betrayal in her marriage and her divorce in 1972, Kartika poured her feelings onto canvas. Years later, those emotions became the Self-Portrait Series (1999)—seven paintings that trace her journey from love and heartbreak to courage, healing, and acceptance.
