(...) A Szikrában bemutatott két térinstalláció közül az első, a már korábbról is ismert Szent Cecílila (1996), mely Stefano Maderno azonos című márványszobrának (1599, Róma, S. Cecilia in Trastevere) újraértelmezése. Ez a mű, a jelenleg a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria–Szépművészeti Múzeum gyűjteményben található, azonos című alkotás előzménye, mely az első nyilvános bemutató során sajnálatos módon megsérült. A sérülés, a lábon és a nyakon látható törések ugyanakkor új jelentésréteggel egészítik ki az alkotást. Leginkább a pusztulásból való visszatéréssel, a feltámadás karakterével, hisz Szent Cecília figurája a megtörtség (karddal próbálták lefejezni, de kivégzése sikertelen volt, s a hóhér sebesülten magára hagyta a szentet) és a makulátlanság (a szent szűzként halt mártírhalált, s az 1559-ben felnyitott sírban testét teljesen épségben találták meg, miközben a nyughely liliom és rózsa illatát árasztotta) kettősségének jegyeit is magán hordozza a legendáriumokban.

(...) Of the two spatial installations presented in Szikra Gallery the first is the previously known Saint Cecilia (1996), a reinterpretation of Stefano Maderno’s marble sculpture of the same title (1599, Rome, S. Cecilia in Trastevere). This work is the precursor to the piece currently held in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery – Museum of Fine Arts, which was unfortunately damaged during its first public exhibition. However, the damage—the visible fractures on the leg and neck—adds a new layer of meaning to the work. It primarily evokes the character of resurrection and return from destruction, as the figure of Saint Cecilia embodies a duality in the hagiographies: brokenness (the attempted beheading by sword, which failed and left the saint wounded) and immaculacy (the saint died a virgin martyr, and when her tomb was opened in 1599, her body was found perfectly intact, while the resting place exhaled the scent of lilies and roses).
