Current Exhibition: The Outsider

Date: 28 May – 27 June, 2026

📍 Art of Nature Contemporary 2/F, New World Tower II, 18 Queen's Road Central, Central

The most compelling dimension of "The Outsider" exhibition is its exploration of how viewers and artists relate to the act of observing. Inspired by Albert Camus’ literary classic, the exhibition considers the viewer’s perspective, the deliberate distance artists maintain across cultures, languages, and identities, and how this separation creates new ways of seeing. Central themes include the outsider’s vantage point, the role of distance in perception, and how these elements uncover deeper realities.

The exhibition features five exceptional artists from Europe and Asia: Apolline Cordier, Cang Yuan, Ophelia Jacarini, Hong Zeiss, and Marc Tanguy. Their paintings and visual works move beyond mere depiction of contemporary surfaces. Instead, they reflect shifting perspectives and the primal forces of identity and existence.

"The Outsider" is on view at Art of Nature Contemporary until June 27, 2026. We invite you to step inside, slow down, and immerse yourself in this unique artistic dialogue.

The Outsider, is inspired by Albert Camus’ novel of the same name. It’s not just about feeling disconnected, but about a way of seeing; standing slightly outside of systems, language, and expectations, and observing from a distance. That feeling of “being here, but not quite belonging” is where this exhibition begins.
