由藝術家導師和M+教學人員的引導下，小朋友將探索設計的奇妙之處，感受日常物品和周邊空間的設計細節，並把日常物品創作成藝術品，最後於博物館公共空間展出，與公眾分享創意成果。

👪 第三天的成果分享會邀請家長一同參與。活動完結後，參與家庭可免費參觀所有M+展覽（最多兩位成人同行），毋須另外購票。完成所有創作營活動的兒童更可獲頒參與證書。

This summer, Children Summer Takeover: Creative Day Camp is back, and this year's theme is ‘Design, I can!’ 🙌

Guided by artist instructors and M+ Educators, young creatives will discover the design details embedded in everyday objects and surrounding spaces, gaining a deeper understanding of how design is closely connected to our daily life. Their creations will then be displayed in the museum’s public spaces for all to see.

👪 Parents will join their child on Day 3 for a special sharing and showcase. Families can also enjoy free admission to all M+ exhibitions after the session (up to two adults welcome). Children who complete all three days earn a certificate of participation.

What new perspectives emerge when we look beyond the familiar narratives of Chinese contemporary art?

In this essay, Dr Mei Huang proposes new ways of understanding authorship, visibility, and artistic positioning often overlooked. Huang examines site-specific works by ethnic minority artists in autonomous regions of Tibet and Inner Mongolia, expanding the art historical.

Huang is the awardee of the Sigg Fellowship for Chinese Art Research 2024/25, which supports new research on Chinese art in dialogue with the M+ Collections.

印尼藝術家赫里．多諾創作的《思想發酵》，將傳統的爪哇皮影戲轉化為極具玩味和戲劇張力的場景：數十個玻璃纖維人頭模型安裝於木製書桌之上，當踏板被踩動，人頭做跟隨着走調誦讀聲的節奏點頭。這件詭異而趣味盎然的裝置作品，探索印尼1990年代的社會政治面貌，並以諷刺手法對歷史、社會與文化進行反思。

How are our thoughts and opinions shaped by our surroundings?

‘Fermentation of the Mind’ by Indonesian artist Heri Dono turns Javanese ‘wayang kulit’ (shadow puppetry) into something playfully theatrical: fibreglass heads nodding to distorted chants, mounted on wooden school desks, triggered by a single pedal press. The eerie and playful installation explores Indonesia’s sociopolitical landscape in the 1990s, satirising history, society, and culture.

是次活動將邀請何慶基與藝術家王禾璧及楊東龍展開對談。自1980年代起，兩位藝術家便是香港藝術界的重要創作者，他們將於活動中分享各自的創作歷程、藝術軌跡，以及對香港文化環境變遷的深刻反思。講座由M+與亞洲藝術文獻庫共同主辦，以廣東話進行。

Hear Oscar Ho in conversation with artists Wong Wo Bik and Yeung Tong Lung, two key figures of Hong Kong's art scene since the 80s, as they reflect on personal journeys, artistic trajectories, and the city’s ever-evolving cultural environment. Co-organized by M+ and Asia Art Archive, the talk will be conducted in Cantonese.

這件錄像作品以龐貝古城為背景，跟隨戴上面具的演員穿梭於這座古城的遺跡之間，藉由故事重新詮釋人類共同的創世神話與和戲劇傳統，探索這些敘事如何因民族目的而被改編重塑。

Wael Shawky’s ‘I Am Hymns of the New Temples’ is now open at Cissy Pui-Lai Pao and Shinichiro Watari Galleries, L2.

Set among the ruins of Pompeii, the video follows masked figures moving through the remnants of the ancient city. The work reinterprets shared creation myths and theatrical traditions through storytelling, and the way narratives are adapted and reshaped for national purposes.
