【Residency in Ink and Memories 在回憶的墨池中暢泳】
Ink artist Chan Kwan-lok constructs his inner landscape with meticulous 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘣𝘪 (fine brushwork) practice. His painting, 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘕𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘨𝘪𝘢, transforms his childhood memories of swimming into a hundred figures for a dialogue across time. During his residency, he will share creative process and techniques. Come dive into his memories and wander through this pool of ink.

水墨畫家陳鈞樂擅長以細膩的工筆線條建構內心圖景。在《海島的夢》中，他將幼時習泳的回憶轉化為近百個在泳池暢泳的「分身」，以畫作與童年的自己展開一場跨時空對話。他將會駐場創作，並分享繪畫過程和工筆技法心得。歡迎您一同潛入他的回憶，漫遊在水墨泳池中。

【Stepping into Wen Zhengming’s Poetic World 走進文徵明的詩情畫意】
As one of the China's four great gardens, the Humble Administrator’s Garden (Zhuozheng Yuan) serves as a quintessential example of traditional literati garden. To complement the exhibition "Blooming: The Art of Gardens in East and West", the HKMoA has invited renowned architectural expert Prof Ho Puay-peng, to deliver a talk. Drawing from Wen Zhengming's two painted albums depicting Zhuozheng Yuan, Prof Ho will guide the audience on a journey of poetry, calligraphy and painting, exploring the unique garden imagery and aesthetics presented across these art forms.

【A Shimmering Choreography 光影流轉間】
A window offers a view of the passing seasons and carries our imagination to faraway places. In an old Venetian house, artist Angel Hui opens a window connecting Hong Kong and Venice, created in collaboration with master artisans from Hong Kong. As light filters through the wrought-iron frame incorporating window patterns characteristic of both places, the shadows compose a quiet choreography that blurs the distance between the two cities.
Visit the exhibition “Fermata: Hong Kong in Venice”, currently on view in Venice, to rediscover the delicate beauty of often-overlooked elements in our daily lives.

憑藉窗戶，我們可觀四時風景，想像一室之外。在威尼斯的老房子裡，藝術家許開嬌打開了一扇連結香港的窗。她與本地傳統鐵器師傅合作，以香港舊式扭鐵窗框為媒介，重新扭製融合兩地窗戶圖案特色的鐵窗花紋。在光影流轉中，光線穿透窗花花紋，模糊空間邊界，帶來想像空間。
「延音——香港在威尼斯」展覽現正於意大利威尼斯舉行，邀請觀眾走進光影之間，重新發現存活在平凡生活之中的日常之美。

【Painting a Chronicle for Generations 現場續寫千秋圖誌】
What kind of landscape emerges when the rational structure of architecture meets the sensuous fluidity of ink? Ink artist and architect Raymond Fung will take up residence at “Live: Studio” during the “Live: Hong Kong Art Exhibition”. Apart from sharing the story behind his installation, 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘦, co-created with a group of young people using their own fingerprints, he will demonstrate his ink-painting techniques. He hopes to pass on his profound affection for the land to the next generation, continuing to write a cultural chronicle for ages to come.

【Restoring a Garden in the Forbidden City 在紫禁城重建一座花園】
Emperor Qianlong commissioned his first private garden at the Palace of Established Happiness in the Forbidden City. This Garden became his favourite sanctuary where he also placed his most beloved artistic treasures. Destroyed by fire in 1923, the Garden was left in ruins for nearly eight decades. The reconstruction attempt—a ground-breaking collaboration between the Palace Museum and the Hong Kong-based China Heritage Fund—was launched at the turn of the millennium and completed in 2005.
HKMoA has invited Ms Happy Harun, Project Director of the China Heritage Fund, to share the restoration journey. Using traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, the team has successfully restored the Garden complex to its full architectural glory.

建福宮花園是乾隆皇帝在紫禁城內建造的首座私人園林，也是他最愛的靜修之地，藏有珍貴的藝術瑰寶。花園於1923年因火災而沉寂近八十年，在千禧年展開歷時五年的重建工程。
香港藝術館特邀香港中國文物保護基金會項目總監丘筱銘女士，分享與故宮博物院攜手合作，運用傳統工藝及現代科技進行修復工作的歷程，讓古代建築重現昔日風采。

The Museum attracted more than 1.38 million visitors in 2025, including impressively 13,430 on 2025.07.01, the highest single-day attendance of the year. We have welcomed more than one million visitors yearly since 2023. On the 1 July this year, 13,837 visitors joined us at HKMoA!

During the Qing dynasty, prosperous Guangdong was at the forefront of global trade and artistic innovation. When Western techniques met local craftsmanship, they sparked a dynamic exchange of ideas, shaping a Cantonese art style in vibrant contrast to the meticulous aesthetics of the imperial court.
To complement the exhibition “Proudly from Canton: The Muwen Tang Collection of Cantonese and Export Art”, donor and scholar Dr Simon Kwan will deliver a talk featuring select treasures from the Muwen Tang Collection to celebrate the proud cultural legacy of Guangdong.
