To our incredible friends, collectors, and supporters,

As we reopen the doors of Art Actually, we find ourselves filled with immense gratitude. These past years have been a journey, and we could not have navigated them without your unwavering support and belief in our vision. Thank you for standing by us, for supporting the arts, and for helping us keep the lights on.

As we step into this new chapter, our goal stays simple: bring you excellent art, introduce you to brilliant artists, and share the inspiring stories behind their work. That’s what Art Actually is here for — and that’s what we love doing.

To celebrate this new beginning, we are thrilled to present our opening exhibition: “Reunion.”

「A Beautiful Life」 in a beautiful home.🥂🌹

「A Beautiful Life」by Idea Hsieh
mixed media on canvas 2018

It was a love at first sight when I saw this painting, the vitality displayed in the artwork deeply captivated me. This beautiful painting took the artist nearly 20 years to create and revise. Why so long? The artist, Idea Hsieh, explained that many things happened during those 20 years. When his mood changed, he would revise the work. Finally, in 2018, he felt at peace and completed it.

Sometimes I feel that collecting art is not just about acquiring a piece of art, but also about sharing and resonating with the artist .

「富竹祥雲 Prosperous Bamboo Beneath Auspicious Clouds」by Leo Liu Xuanqi

When the collector returns home and, at first glance, will see this breathtaking artwork on the stairway: a pairing of Taihu rocks and bamboo. It draws you back to the quiet serenity of Suzhou gardens.

Our artist Leo Liu Xuanqi deliberately renders the hard Taihu rock as if it were cloud-like—strong and bold, yet with a hint of tenderness. And the bamboo, made luminous with gold and silver leaf, brings an especially wonderful and lucky meaning: “gold and silver filling the whole house.”

We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks to this young, beautiful collector—sharp-sighted and discerning. And we also wish this loving family happiness, harmony, and prosperity, with business thriving and success growing.🥂

Thanks to our collector for sharing this beautiful photo with us.

Terence Teo’s artwork 「The magic of nature」truly brings the natural magic to this cozy home, matches perfectly with the antiques.

Close your eyes and imagine that just one spot light on the art piece during the night time, along with the soothing music.

Art, may not be the essentials to our daily life, but it is the necessity to our souls. 🥂
