✨ 【藝術家駐場週記：帶意大利藝術家做一次「深水埗街坊」！】
首位駐場藝術家 Chiara 嚟到饒館已經一個星期啦🥰
今個星期Chiara除咗專心投入藍曬創作外，我哋仲帶佢做咗一次「深水埗街坊」，探索哩個充滿故事嘅社區：
👉 去DX設計館（DX design hub）睇最新精彩展覽
👉 探索棚仔，仲買咗好靚嘅布料
👉 去深水埗一定要去鴨寮街同玩具街打個轉！
Chiara 仲好興奮咁同我哋分享，佢好欣賞香港舊式產品嘅包裝設計，無論係藥丸、香竹，定係花露水，所有舊式包裝都令佢愛不釋手！
除咗Pizza之外，Chiara仲好鍾意餃子，知道之後我哋即刻去咗食餃子🥟 豆腐花、豆漿，仲有好多香港美食，不能盡錄⋯⋯我哋已經約定下次會去打邊爐同食豬油渣麵🍜
係深水埗流連半日後，Chiara覺得深水埗係一個有趣又活潑嘅社區，更令她覺得神奇嘅係，前一秒仲沉浸係饒館嘅鳥語花香、清幽古蹟，但十分鐘車程後，就去到熱鬧好玩嘅深水埗；哩種瞬間轉移嘅方便對香港人嚟講絕不陌生，但對外國藝術家嚟講，係一種新奇又獨特嘅在地體驗。
下星期 Chiara 將會係饒館舉行Open Studio Day，到底佢係棚仔買嘅布料會唔會出現係現場呢？

🎨 【Artist-in-Residence Weekly Diary: A Local Day Out in Sham Shui Po!】
Our first resident artist, Chiara, has been at JTIA for a week now!
Besides focusing on her cyanotype art, we took her out to experience life as a true Sham Shui Po local. We spent the day exploring this neighborhood full of stories:
👉 Checked out the coolest new exhibition at DX Design Hub
👉 Hunted for unique materials at the fabric market and bought some beautiful textiles
👉 Walked through Apliu Street and Toy Street to search for creative inspiration!
Chiara was so excited to tell us how much she loves traditional Hong Kong packaging designs. From old medicine boxes and joss sticks to classic Florida Water cologne, she absolutely adores these vintage styles!
We also discovered that apart from pizza, Chiara is a huge fan of dumplings! 🥟
Once we heard that, we immediately took her out to enjoy local dumplings, tofu pudding, and soy milk. There are too many delicious foods to list! We have already promised to take her for hotpot and traditional lard residue noodles next time. 🍜
After spending half a day wandering around Sham Shui Po, Chiara found it to be such a fun and lively place. What amazed her the most was Hong Kong’s "magical teleportation"—one minute she was relaxing in the peaceful greenery of our historic heritage lodge, and just a 10-minute ride later, she was right in the middle of bustling Sham Shui Po! This quick shift from quiet to busy is normal for locals, but for a foreign artist, it is a truly fresh and exciting experience.
Next week, Chiara will be hosting her Open Studio Day at JTIA. Will the fabrics she bought at the fabric marketshow up in her artwork?
