近年香港社會的保育意識日漸增加，而香港文化博物館的其中一項責任正是推動本地時裝及保存本地文化。是次衣 + 包 剪 揼 “Fashion + Paper, Scissors & Rock”將聯合時裝設計師與傳統工匠，讓設計師以時裝為媒介，利用傳統工匠日漸失傳的技藝，創造出獨特的時裝系列，讓傳統工藝以嶄新的形式展現，是次計劃的目的正是讓設計師重新演繹及採用不同的傳統技術於其創作中，也正是一次現代設計與傳統工藝的結合。
