Gallery EXIT Gallery EXIT was established in 2008, Hong Kong.

Gallery EXIT was established in 2008 with the purpose of exhibiting progressive and ambitious works in all media that seek to go beyond the boundaries of nationality and discipline. The gallery acts as a platform to collaborate with artists in long-term relationship that promote understanding and awareness of their works.

藝術家從事創作，往往會把事物從慣常的脈絡剝離、拆散、再重組。

陳翊朗把一些宗教形象本來的角色抽走，再滲進種種人間色相，揉捏出世俗與神聖的曖昧；李寧則把記憶切碎，轉化變形，再憑直覺拼湊出一個未知的過去。

是次對談，陳翊朗與李寧將會和大家分享他們如何在日常生活中抽絲剝繭，編織出自己的異色宇宙。

In artistic practice, creators often lift things out of their familiar contexts, taking them apart and reassembling them into something new.

Oscar CHAN Yik Long removes the sacred characters from religious figures and injects into these holy shells the all-too-human complexions, kneading them into ambiguous hybrids of secularity and sacrality. LI Ning, on the other hand, shreds the memory into pieces, transforms them, and, under the guidance of his intuition, patches them together to create a past yet to be known.
 
In this sharing session, the two artists will talk about how they unravel the strands of their daily experience and fabricate them into their peculiar universe.

Clouds are both ethereal and substantial, visible above us yet always out of reach. They may look still, but they are constantly drifting and changing. In sunlight they appear gentle and serene, yet they can also gather the force of distant thunder and falling rain. Made of contradictions held in delicate balance, clouds echo the logic of KWONG Wing Kwan’s paintings.

In this sharing session, Kwong will talk about how reality and imagination interweave in her work, where moments of calm carry an undercurrent of unease, and beauty is shot through with a vivid sense of fear.

Gallery EXIT presents ‘No Ground’, an exhibition by LI Ning featuring his new works.

In recent years, LI Ning’s practice has revolved around memory, its transformation, and the ways in which memories are continuously rewritten over time. This interest took shape amid a series of social, environmental and personal changes, bringing a heightened awareness of collective memory, how facts can be redrawn, and how lived experience can be preserved. As an artist, Li responded by turning to storytelling, transforming personal and collective experiences into fictional and mythological narratives.

安全口畫廊呈獻李寧個展「No Ground」，展出藝術家新作。李寧近年的創作一直圍繞記憶、記憶的變形，以及記憶如何隨時間持續被改寫。這份關注逐漸形成於近年一連串社會、環境及個人層面的變動之中。這些變動令他對集體記憶、事實如何被重新描繪，以及如何保存親歷的經驗，產生了強烈的感受。

‘Two Kinds of Protection’ is Oscar CHAN Yik Long’s third solo exhibition at Gallery EXIT.  
  
Chan doesn’t require us to study the research behind his imagery. These ink and oil paintings address us as viewers of pictures rather than as readers of stories. They are visual first and foremost, and the means they employ – figuration, shades of blackness and colour, the juxtaposition of details and sweeping lines – are meant to strengthen them as images. The exhibition does, however, have a title, and it gives us access to the intellectual, emotional and spiritual processes that brought this particular body of work to life. 

For ‘Two Kinds of Protection’ each technique has been connected to a distinct set of figures, doubling as characters from Eastern (Buddhist) and Western (Abrahamic) religious traditions. Maybe we should just take a moment to consider that ‘figure’ and ‘character’ are not the same. Ultimately, the former is a formal category (an appearance) while the latter is a moral one (an appraisal).

「兩種保護」是陳翊朗在安全口畫廊的第三次個展。   
 
陳翊朗並不要求我們先理解這些圖像背後的研究。這批水墨與油畫作品邀請我們成為圖像的觀賞者，而非故事的閱讀者。它們首先訴諸視覺，無論是具象的描繪、深淺不一的黑色陰影與其他色彩的運用，還是細節與線條的並置，都是為了增強圖像本身的表現力。展覽名稱「兩種保護」則為我們打開了一道門，讓我們得以走進藝術家創作這批作品時的思考、情感與靈性歷程。   

在「兩種保護」中，兩種繪畫技法各自對應一組人物形象，​​同時分別呈現東方佛教與西方亞伯拉罕諸教傳統中的角​​色。或許我們可以先停一停，想想「形象」與「角色」之間的分別。前者屬於形式的範疇，關乎外觀；後者則屬於道德的範疇，涉及評價。​

Gallery EXIT presents ’Good Morning, Sweet Dreams – Time Blindness‘, a solo exhibition by KWONG Wing Kwan featuring a new body of oil paintings. Drawing on her awareness of shock, fear, and the shifting conditions of the world, Kwong condenses narrative traces into scenes that register as psychological projections. Continuing her ’Good Morning, Sweet Dreams‘ series, she renders contrasts between interior and exterior, tenderness and tension, familiarity and distance.

Gallery EXIT presents Tobe KAN‘s solo exhibition ‘Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Night.’, featuring a series of new and recent works by the artist.

The exhibition title borrows a recurring line from the 1998 film ‘The Truman Show’, extending from the film’s artificial space to explore how the everyday is repeated, how our sense of time becomes disrupted, and those structures and frameworks—both physical and psychological—that quietly regulate our imagination of home, nature, and identity. Through paintings and ready-made objects, the exhibition presents two parallel creative threads: one stemming from the artist‘s observations of plants in Europe, Hong Kong, and elsewhere; the other comprising more intimate domestic still lifes closer to daily life.

安全口畫廊呈獻簡喬倩個展 「Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Night.」，展出藝術家一系列全新及近期作品。

展覽標題借用 1998 年電影《楚門的世界》中反覆出現的台詞，由電影中的人造空間，延伸至「日常如何被重複」、時間感如何被打亂，以及那些在物理與心理層面上，悄悄調節我們對家園、自然與身份想像的結構與框架。展覽透過繪畫與現成物件，呈現兩條並行的創作線索：一組源於藝術家在歐洲與香港等地對植物的觀察；另一組則更貼近生活、較為私密的家居靜物畫。
