Shout Art Hub & Gallery is pleased to present “The Ark Adrift”, a solo exhibition by artist Yiu Chi Leung, which explores human resilience and hope in the face of adversity. Set against the unpredictable journey of life, the exhibition contemplates the fragility of existence and the enduring potential for renewal.

Featuring a selection of paintings and figures—including “Adam and Eve”, “Hallelujah”, “The Savior”etc., the works offer a contemporary reinterpretation of biblical themes.

By introducing the motif of "love and sin", the exhibition not only meditates on love but also prompts reflection on the moral dilemmas and inner conflicts that arise in an age shaped by technology and religious belief.

Yiu's creative practice primarily explores the intersection of religion and science, blending elements of science fiction, Eastern and Western aesthetics, and popular culture. His works reflect the impact of technological advancements over the past century on personal growth, while offering imaginative perspectives on space and the future.

Drawing inspiration from the Book of Genesis, the series navigates both reality and illusion. It captures the "alienation" wrought by technology while unveiling the artist's ideal inner world—one that pursues eternal values through a cynical lens of faith.

流離方舟The Ark adrift

「我們都是在方舟上漂泊、等待著的人…」
—姚志良

Shout Art Hub & Gallery 呈獻姚志良個人藝術展覽《流離方舟》，探索人類在逆境中的堅韌與希望。在漂泊的人生旅途中，面對種種的不確定與挑戰，反思生命中的不安與重生的力量。

展覽以繪畫和雕塑形式為主，作品包括有《亞當與夏娃》、《哈利路亞》、《第四天早上》、《救世主》、《加百列》等。

作品以當代的視角重新演繹經典，將「愛與罪」的主題引入當代，探討「愛」的同時，亦讓觀者反思在科技與宗教信仰交織的世界中，人類面臨的道德挑戰與內心掙扎。

姚氏的創作主要探索信仰與科學，揉合科幻、東西方美學及流行文化等元素，反映了上世紀科技進步對自身成長的影響，以及對太空與未來的想像。

系列靈感來源於《創世記》，畫中充滿真實與虛幻，表達科技帶來的「異化」，同時展現藝術家內心創造的理想世界，追求永恆價值，以及玩世不恭的人生觀和信仰。
