The world that Andrei Pokrovskii creates is brimming with totemic figures and an anachronism amplified by a static and dioramic backdrop, verges on the theatrical.

Working on carved wooden panels, Andrei Pokrovskii blends theatrical staging with sacred art traditions to reflect on human vulnerability and belonging. His tactile, relief-like surfaces blur the line between painting and sculpture, turning everyday symbols into modern talismans.

The handblown glass sculptures of Hong Kong artist Jocelyn Chan stay with the trouble of language and memory, as she finds glassworking, wherein imperceptible marks shape the contours of a transparent surface, to be an apt metaphor.

The lightness of Chan’s marks reflects the fragile, lasting connections between people. Set on glass engraved with footprints, the spheres map her past, present, and future paths, extending beyond the surface to trace new places and connections yet to unfold.

Through its precise, tactile surface, Monika Žáková’s work uses subtle trompe l’oeils to lead viewers to ponder the boundaries between surface, space, image, and object.

Žáková is known for representing the beauty of the folds and the creases of her chosen subject-matter—usually cloth, paper, or metal. Her minimalistic works create an illusory refraction of matter and colour.

Hong Kong–based artist Angela Chow intuitively harnesses the unpredictability of materials in her new work, 𝘋𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, to construct a poetic, memory-driven landscape.

Through these dreamlike visual elements, Chow transforms the canvas into a psychological refuge from external noise and rigid environments, inviting viewers into a meditative space where emotions remain open, fluid, and continually evolving.

The structures we inhabit also have a peculiar way of inhabiting us. They inaugurate us as subjects, place us within society, offering specific understandings of morality, ethics, and justice. In other words, they often aid in placing us as social beings, and thus giving way for the expressions that make us most human to emerge. But what is it that happens when these structures are totalising? What does one do in response to the rigid dogmas of the powers at large?

Working across sculpture, drawing, and painting, the artists in 𝘜𝘍𝘖: 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 pull focus (in resonance with Július Koller) on the small gestures that widen our imagination of the future.

Biggest thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at Frieze Seoul!!

The level of curiosity in Seoul is unlike anything we’ve experienced. We’ve never handed out so many exhibition sheets—we literally had to print fresh stacks every day just to keep up. It really made the week so engaging and fun for our team 🤍🩶🖤
