在義大利古陶器中可見、具有邊緣裝飾的「鋸齒/齒狀」系列。

並非每一片都規整一致的鋸齒;每件之間的節奏都略有不同,展現手工製作所特有的自然輕微波動。

造型不會太過強烈主張:輪廓雖然帶有些許動感,但整體仍然非常安靜,將自己收斂在一種低調的存在感之中,襯托並烘托料理。

A “serrated / zigzag” series—featuring decorative ridges along the rims—often seen in antique Italian ceramics.

Rather than perfectly uniform serrations on every piece, each one has a slightly different rhythm, creating a natural, subtle waviness that only handmade work can achieve.

The forms don’t make too strong a statement: while the outline has a bit of movement, the overall presence is very quiet—held back in a modest, understated way that enhances and elevates your food.

We’ve prepared pieces such as bowls, plates, and casseroles for everyone.

安齋夫婦所造的「紅毛手」,靈感來自江戶時代自荷蘭傳入的德爾夫特燒,並滲入了他們獨特的情感。

如同稻穗般柔和的色調,以及蘊含其中的樸素土質感的「米色青磁」。還有那種黏稠、濃潤且帶有光澤的釉藥「乳香色釉」別具魅力。

在安齋新·厚子的各種作品之中,共通之處在於善用「留白」的創作方式。

即使將古今器物與工具的精髓納入其中,也絕不過度搶眼,而是悄悄地貼近、陪伴使用者的日常生活。透過這份取捨,能感受到屬於日本創作者特有的、某種可以說是「減法美學」的審美意識。

安齋新先生與厚子女士的展覽,將於本週日(5月10 日)完結。歡迎來到親身觸摸並感受他們那份細膩的手作工藝。

Inspiration drawn from Delftware introduced from the Netherlands during the Edo period, and expressed with the distinctive sensibility of Arata and Atsuko Anzai, it is “Kōmote.”

Soft, gentle hues like ripening rice stalks, as well as the rustic, tactile sense of the clay itself, “Beishoku Seiji” (rice-colored celadon).

And the charm of lustrous, thick, and richly glazed expressions, “Nykōshoku Yū” (cream-fragrant colored glaze).

Across the varied works of Arata and Atsuko Anzai, what they share is a mode of making that makes effective use of "余白Yohaku" (the sense of space and interval).

Even while incorporating the essence of vessels and tools from different times and places, they never insist or overwhelm. Instead, they quietly nestle into gently accompany the everyday life of the person who uses them. From this sense of restraint, you can feel an aesthetic sensibility unique to Japanese makers, what might be called “minimalist beauty.”

江戸時代にオランダから伝わったデルフト焼に着想を得て、安齋さんらしい感性で表現された「紅毛手(こうもて)」。
稲穂のように柔らかな色合いと、素朴な土の質感が息づく「米色青磁(べいしょくせいじ)」。
そして、とろりとした艶やかな釉薬の表情が魅力の「乳香色釉(にゅうこうしょくゆう)」。

多彩な表情を見せる安齋新さん・厚子さんの作品に共通しているのは、「余白」を活かしたものづくりです。

古今東西の器や道具のエッセンスを取り入れながらも、決して主張しすぎず、使う人の暮らしにそっと寄り添う。
そこには、日本の作り手ならではの、引き算の美学とも言える美意識が感じられます。

安齋新さん・厚子さんの展示は、今週末10日(日)までの開催です。

第一張照片中的器物,以陽刻技法所呈現、低調而恰到好處的花卉紋樣最為引人注目,能夠悄悄地襯托出料理的美感。

Arata and Atsuko Anzai have created a wide variety of Blue porcelain pieces.
Their transparency and assured presence intertwine harmoniously, creating a comfortable sense of balance. Whether for any dish or dining table, they naturally blend into everyday life.

This atmosphere is exactly what Anzai and his wife cherish in their work.

In the first photo, the piece stands out for the subtle floral pattern applied using the relief carving technique—quietly enhancing the beauty of the food.

「左馬」

起源於將棋棋子中的「馬」字以鏡像反轉的方式書寫,在日本文化中被視為吉祥的象徵。

像是在祝福日常無需特別費力也可以美滿地持續下去般,帶著原始而美麗的色澤發光的「左馬」的擺設。

據說它的造型靈感來自兒時會被搖晃、輕輕擺動的「木馬」。那份帶著些許懷舊感、又溫柔可愛的姿態,令人忍不住想靠近。然而,在它背後,還隱藏著日本自古以來深厚的智慧。

將「馬的日文うま」倒過來讀,會變成「まう(舞う)」。因為與喜慶場合中的「舞」相通,所以被視為象徵生意興隆、繁盛昌達。另外,也因為「向左的馬不會倒下」,因此它又被當作是在象徵人生中能避免「落馬」、守住不倒的象徵。

換句話來說,這就是「招福」。而在這一個字裡,兩位創作者溫柔的心願被深深凝聚其中。

“Left Horse”

Originating from the "horse" (uma) character on Shogi pieces written as a mirror image, it is regarded as a symbol of good luck in Japanese culture.

Like a quiet blessing that everyday life will continue uninterrupted, this display of the “Left Horse” seems to glow with a primal, beautiful radiance.

It is said that its form was inspired by the “wooden horse” that you swing and gently rock during childhood. That mix of nostalgia, warmth, and endearing charm makes it hard not to want to get closer, yet behind it lies deep wisdom handed down from Japan since ancient times.

If you flip the Japanese word for “horse,” uma (うま), you get mau (舞う) “to dance”. Since it echoes “dance” in celebratory occasions, it is regarded as a symbol of business prosperity and thriving success. In addition, because a horse facing to the left is said not to fall, it also symbolizes an unshakable “won’t fall” good fortune, protecting you from the “falling off the horse” in life.

In short, that is to invite good fortune. Within that one word, the gentle wishes of the two creators are deeply condensed.

「左馬」
何気ない日常が続くことを祝福するような、プリミティブで美しい発色の「左馬(ひだりうま)」のオブジェ。

赤ちゃんの頃にゆらゆらと揺られた「木馬」をイメージして形作られたというその姿は、どこかノスタルジックで愛らしい佇まい。ですが、その背後には日本古来の深い知恵が隠されています。

「うま」を逆さに読むと「まう(舞う)」。おめでたい席での「舞」に通じることから商売繁盛を意味し、また「左に向いた馬は倒れない」ことから、人生における“落馬”を防ぐ不倒の象徴ともされています。
一言で表現するなら「招福」。その一文字に、お二人の優しい願いが凝縮されています。
