At the age of nine he left his home town once and for all, and settled in Athens (Greece), there he completed his studies at the Greek school and the French Institute. In 1987 he takes part in a national art exhibition in Greece and in the same year he takes part in an exhibition in Munich, Germany. In 1989 he takes part in a painting exhibition in Lugano, Switzerland, while at the same time he ex
hibits his works in various art galleries in Athens. In 1990 he takes part in an exhibition in Rome, and in 1991 in another one in Milan, Italy. He becomes a permanent resident of Oia in Santorini, and he starts painting on authentic doors and window shades that once belonged to mansions, houses and cellars built in the volcanic rock, and captains’ mansions, all being landmarks of the 20th century up until the destructive earthquake of 1956. In 2006 he created a distinct selection of unique pieces of old wood paintings with the theme of Santorini and he organized a personal exhibition with success in Palm Sprig –California USA. The age of the wood is estimated in between 1800 and 1956. Its maintenance consists of time-consuming and complex procedures of cleaning, restoration and repainting before it can be used by the painter as a base material. Each one of his works is a unique piece of art and history of this island, and it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and uniqueness.
