Ένα ποίημα - ύμνος! ♥️🌹🌞
Αγαπημένοι μου φίλοι,
προ ημερών, ξενάγησα μια ομάδα πελατών μας, στο Museum of Tradition and Rural Life. Ανάμεσα τους και ο Rob.
Εμπνευσμένος από αυτήν την ξενάγηση,
ο Rob έγραψε και μου αφιέρωσε το παρακάτω ποίημα, που με συγκίνησε απερίγραπτα.
Φίλε μου Rob,
για όλα τα πανέμορφα συναισθήματα
που μού χάρισες με το υπέροχο ποίημα σου,
σέ ευχαριστώ μέσα από την καρδιά μου!

Αγαπημένοι μου φίλοι,
αξίζει να το διαβάσετε:
" Evangelia
A poem for Rhodes.
~~~~~~~❤️~~~~~~
Where the blue Aegean
meets the golden shore,
There lives a special lady
who loves this island more.
Where the summer sunshine glitters
and the warm winds gently play,
theres a little piece of heaven
that seem to call us back each day.
And there is Evangelia,
with a smile that lights the way,
a beautiful lady on the outside,
but more beautiful each day.
For behind that lovely smile
is a heart both warm and true,
and a kindness she freely gives
to everyone she knew.
She welcomes all the travellers
who come to this Island shore,
And shares with them her stories
of the Rhodes she knew before.
For every guest that passes through
may leave with something more,
A little piece of Rhodes to keep,
and memories to adore.
Within her special museum
are treasures from the past,
Photographs and jars and silks
and memories made to last.
Old machinery and stories
of people from long ago,
All gathered with such loving care,
so their memories can still grow.
For Evangelia, has searched the years
to bring the past to life,
The stories of their families
Their struggles and their strife.
Her Father and her Mother,
Her Grandparents before,
Their lives are woven into Rhodes,
the island they adore.
And perhaps thats why her museum
feels different when you stand inside
for these are not just things of old,
but memories she keeps alive.
Each photograph, each treasured piece, each story that she tells,
is another little piece of Rhodes
that in her heart still dwells.
Where roses bloom beneath the sun
and summer fills the air,
Their beauty and their fragrance
Seem to blossom everywhere.
And they say the name of Rhodes
is linked with roses in bloom,
a flower of love and beauty
that seem to suit this island too.
For just like those beautiful roses
that flourish in the sun,
The stories of this island
must be cherished one by one.
And just as roses leave their scent
Long after they have grown,
The memories Evangelia, keeps
will never be forgotten.
So here we are in Rhodes again,
Our second year has come,
and once again we've found ourselves
beneath it's golden sun.
Returning to the place we love,
to friends we've come to know,
and to the lady who has helped
Its history gently flow.
So Evangelia this is for you,
for all the things you share,
for opening your heart to us
and showing that you care.
For keeping Rhodes old stories
alive for all to see,
and reminding all who visit
what this island used to be.
And when we leave this island
and the time has come to go,
We'll take a little Rhodes with us,
as all your visitors do.
For wherever life will take us,
And wherever we may roam,
the memories of Rhodes will stay
For Rhodes will feel like home.
And Evangelia in your museum
Among the memories of old,
Perhaps these words may find a place
Beside the stories that you hold.
