Actress Katerina Misichroni is the new High Priestess of the Olympic Flame ceremonies.
In the photos, the new high priestess with the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Artistic Director of the Olympic Flame ceremonies, Artemis Ignatiou, and the President of the Olympic Torch Relay Committee.
As announced by the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the acclaimed actress and dancer Katerina Misichroni is the new High Priestess for the Olympic Flame Ceremonies of the next Olympic period. Katerina Misichroni's selection was made after examining other candidates for the role and was based on her qualifications, experience, and artistic career.

Στις φωτογραφίες η νέα πρωθιέρεια με τον Πρόεδρο της Ελληνικής Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής, την Καλλιτεχνική Διευθύντρια των τελετών της Ολυμπιακής Φλόγας Artemis Ignatiou, και τον Πρόεδρο της Επιτροπής της Ολυμπιακής Λαμπαδηδρομίας.
Οπως ανακοίνωσε η Ελληνική Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή, η καταξιωμένη ηθοποιός και χορεύτρια Κατερίνα Μισιχρόνη, είναι η νέα Πρωθιέρεια για τις Τελετές της Ολυμπιακής Φλόγας της επόμενης Ολυμπιακής περιόδου. Η επιλογή της Κατερίνας Μισιχρόνη έγινε μετά από εξέταση και άλλων υποψηφίων για το ρόλο και βασίστηκε στα προσόντα, την εμπειρία και την καλλιτεχνική της πορεία.

2004 Athens Olympic Games. Trial Event "2002 Athens Regatta" heavy glass paperweight and volunteer's diploma. The Athens 2002 Regata was the first trial event for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. The diameter of the paperweight is 93mm its thickness is 18mm and it weighs 300gr. In high relief regatta's logo (scene from a sailboats race) under "ATHENS 2002 REGATTA".
Regatta: A sporting event consisting of a series of boats or yachts races.

Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες Αθήνα 2004. Βαρύ γυάλινο Πρεσπαπιέ με ανάγλυφο το λογότυπο της διοργάνωσης "Athens 2002 Regatta" ,(Ρεγκάτα Αθήνα 2002) και δίπλωμα εθελοντή. Η συγκεκριμένη διοργάνωση ήταν το πρώτο test event των αγώνων. Η διάμετρος του πρεσπαπιέ είναι 93mm με 18mm πάχος και 300gr βάρος. Σε ανάγλυφο το λογότυπο της Regatta (σκηνή από αγώνα ιστιοπλοΐας) κάτω από την επιγραφή "ATHENS 2002 REGATTA".
Ρεγκάτα: Αθλητικό γεγονός απαρτιζόμενο από αλληλουχία λεμβικών, ιστιοπλοϊκών και νηολογικών αγώνων.

Athens 1896 Olympic Games. A group of 16/24 pewter figurines made by the company "Ελληνικός Ολυμπιακός Κύκλος" (Greek Olympic Cycle) back in 1996 for the celebration of the 100 years of the modern Olympic Games. All the figurines are bearing the name and the Nationality of the depicted athlete. I believe that the figures are inspired from the photos of the games and specifically from the photographic album of Albert Meyer.

Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες Αθήνα 1896. Μια ομάδα 16/24 ειδωλίων από κασσίτερο που κατασκευάστηκαν από την εταιρεία "Ελληνικός Ολυμπιακός Κύκλος" το 1996 για τον εορτασμό των 100 χρόνων από τους σύγχρονους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες. Όλα τα ειδώλια φέρουν το όνομα και την εθνικότητα του απεικονιζόμενου αθλητή. Πιστεύω ότι οι φιγούρες είναι εμπνευσμένες από τις φωτογραφίες των αγώνων και συγκεκριμένα από το φωτογραφικό άλμπουμ του Albert Meyer.

Bronze medal issued by the Portuguese Olympic Committee. On front the logo of the Committee surrounded by laurel and oak wreath and the "COMITE OLIMPICO PORTUGUES". On the rear the word "FRIENDSHIP" in 29 languages. The big with 80 mm diameter and 5 mm of thickness medal weights 203.5 grs.

Μπρούτζινο μετάλλιο από την Πορτογαλική Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή. Στην μπροστινή όψη το λογότυπο της Επιτροπής, περιτριγυρισμένο από δάφνινο και δρύινο στεφάνι και η επιγραφή "COMITE OLIMPICO PORTUGUES". Στο πίσω μέρος η λέξη "ΦΙΛΙΑ" σε 29 γλώσσες. Το μεγάλο μετάλλιο, με διάμετρο 80 mm και πάχος 5 mm, ζυγίζει 203,5 γραμμάρια.

1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Games. Third place Winners medal for the event of "Skiing 70m. Special Jump".
On the obverse, a hand holding the Olympic torch against a mountain background, Olympic rings, and the text “XIII OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES”. On the reverse, a pine branch with cones, the official emblem of the Games, and the inscription "LAKE PLACID 1980".

The specific bronze medal is un-awarded. As it seems on the Official Results of the event, the second and the third-ranked athletes received an equal total of 249.2 points each so they were both awarded a silver medal.

Σύμφωνα με τα επίσημα αποτελέσματα του αγωνίσματος οι αθλητές που κατατάχθηκαν στην 2η και 3η θέση ισοβάθμησαν με 249,2 βαθμούς, με αποτέλεσμα να τους απονεμηθεί από ένα αργυρό μετάλλιο.

The Official Vessel for the Lighting Ceremony in which the Olympic Flame is carried by the Priestess from the Temple of Hera till the Ancient Stadium of Ancient Olympia. The Safety Lamp that follows the Olympic Torch Relay, and the desirable for every collector Olympic Torch.

International Olympic Academy a very old and rare badge for Officials and Distinguished Guests. Hand made as I can tell, it consists of a bronze A in a cycle (the initial symbol of I.O.A.) attached on white ribbon and a safety pin. Weights 49gr. with 24mm diameter of the cycle and 50X24mm ribbon dimensions. On the other photos my I.O.A. pin collection and a photo with the badge on an Officials jacket.

Διεθνής Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία πολύ παλιά και σπάνια κονκάρδα για Αξιωματούχους και Διακεκριμένους Επισκέπτες. Χειροποίητο, όπως μπορώ να πω, αποτελείται από ένα χάλκινο Α σε κύκλο (το αρχικό σύμβολο της Δ.Ο.Α.) προσαρτημένο σε λευκή κορδέλα και καρφίτσα ασφαλείας. Βάρος 49γρ. με διάμετρο του κύκλου 24 mm και διαστάσεις κορδέλας 50X24 mm. Στις άλλες φωτογραφίες η υπόλοιπη σλλογή μου από καρφίτσες της Δ.Ο.Α. pin και φωτογραφία με την κονκάρδα στο σακάκι επισήμου.

Our friend and distinguished collector George Economou is exhibiting in the "Center of Arts" of the Municipality of Athens at Eleftherias Park from June 2 to 7, 2026. The exhibition is about the Athens 1906 Second International Olympic Games under the title "Athens 1906 the culmination of the Olympic Idea. Excellent showcasing of Olympic history rarities! The photos in the post show a small part of the exhibit, which covers 81 PDF pages.
Name of the event "101" for the 101 years of the Philatelic Society.
