Moulting: the biological process where an animal sheds an outer covering — feathers, fur, or skin — to make way for new growth.

Crux Galerie invites you to experience Maria Louizou’s solo exhibition Moulting Season, a poetic exploration of transformation and renewal. The sculptures made of wax, clay, steel, and plaster explore the idea of dwelling — from skin to home — as both protection and a temporary space of release and regeneration.

The exhibition visualises the moment of moulting — the shedding of what no longer serves — and the fragile trace it leaves behind. Ceramic works based on the human scale are activated by presence and voice, turning form into instrument.

Don’t miss this evocative show, open until 8 November 2025.

Featured works include:
Attempt #1, 2025, plaster, wax, 31×24×22 cm
Attempt #2, 2025, plaster, wax, 45×31×31 cm
Attempt #3, 2025, plaster, wax, 32×13×23 cm
