🪐 New update: Hazardous Asteroids is now available in a revised version!

Developed by the education team of the NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory and announced by NSF this updated educational investigation features a refreshed design, improved navigation for teachers and students, and new resources connected to discoveries from Rubin Observatory's Early Science observations.

🌎 One of the biggest updates? Hazardous Asteroids is now available in Spanish for the first time, making the investigation accessible to even more learners and educators around the world.

Through the investigation, students explore impact risk assessment, analyse real data, and learn how scientists identify, track and assess potentially hazardous asteroids.

🔭 Rubin Observatory has already demonstrated its extraordinary ability to discover and track Solar System objects during its early operations, with thousands of previously unknown asteroids identified and many more objects measured and characterised. Future versions of the investigation will incorporate Rubin data, bringing students even closer to current asteroid research and planetary defence efforts.
