⚡ Η νέα έκθεση της συλλογής του ΕΜΣΤ ξεκινά από το «Μουσείο των Δυνατοτήτων», μια πρώτη επιστροφή στις απαρχές του θεσμού γύρω στο 2000 και στη διαδικασία συγκρότησης της συλλογής, με την ιδρυτική και πρώτη διευθύντρια Άννα Καφέτση να έχει καθοριστικό ρόλο στη διαμόρφωση της.
💡🏗️ Πρώτη στάση σε μία από τις σημαντικότερες μορφές της ελληνικής διασποράς, η Χρύσα Βαρδέα-Μαυρομιχάλη, πρωτοπόρος στη χρήση του νέον ως γλυπτικού υλικού και από τις ελάχιστες γυναίκες της γενιάς της που εργάστηκαν με μνημειακές εγκαταστάσεις.
Το έργο της μετατρέπει τη γλώσσα, το φως και τον αστικό χώρο σε γλυπτική εμπειρία, ανάμεσα στην Pop Art, τον Μινιμαλισμό και την Εννοιολογική Τέχνη.

Τhe new collection exhibition opens with the “Museum of Possibilities”, revisiting the museum’s beginnings in 2000, a moment marked equally by promise and challenge, when the institution and its collection were built from scratch under limited resources and infrastructure by the founding director Anna Kafetsi.
💡🏗️ The chapter brings together seminal Greek artists from the late 20th and early 21st centuries: featured here is Chryssa, a pioneering figure of the Greek diaspora in the United States and one of the first artists to introduce neon as a sculptural material.
Her work bridges pop art, conceptual art, and minimalism, transforming language, light, and the urban environment into fields of critical artistic inquiry.
