υ προσωπικού» και το ζήτημα της «αφήγησης», δηλαδή του εκθεσιακού χώρου, τον οποίο ο θεατής προσλαμβάνει ως εμπειρία ή «καταβύθιση»./
Μέσα από διαφορετικού ύφους καλλιτεχνικές χειρονομίες και τοποθετήσεις οι οποίες χαρακτηρίζονται από τη διαισθητική, έμμεση, εμπειρική και ενίοτε ποιητική τους προσέγγιση, έννοιες όπως αυτή της ταυτότητας, της αντιπροσώπευσης, της ιστορίας, της καταστολής, του αποκλεισμού, αλλά και των δυνατοτήτων της κριτικής δέσμευσης μπροστά στην κρίση, αποτελούν την βασική προβληματική του ετήσιου προγράμματος./
Κατά τη διάρκεια της σύντομης ζωής του και μέσα από τη συνεχή εναλλαγή προγράμματος, το XYZ Outlet λειτουργεί σαν ένας «δείκτης ανησυχίας» και – εντελώς κυριολεκτικά – σαν μια διέξοδος (outlet) κατάθεσης απόψεων σχετικά με την παραγωγή εκθέσεων και την καλλιτεχνική πρακτική σε μια από τις πλέον αμφιλεγόμενες γειτονιές της Αθήνας.

The concept of this curatorial project is part of the wider practice of the curatorial team XYZ Projects relating to the creation of independent spaces and not-for-profit institutions, whilst focusing on two main interests that form the core of their practice: the “politics of the personal”, and the issue of “narrative”, ‘experiential’ and ‘immersive’ space./
Along these two axes, notions of identity, representation, history, oppression, and possibilities of critical engagement in the face of crisis, are addressed through versatile artistic gestures, selected for their intuitive, indirect, empirical and sometimes poetic approach, during the yearlong programme./
A small stage for experimentation and presentation of idiosyncratic artistic positions, where, within short periods, projects interchange in a relay and trigger discourse, XYZ Outlet acts as a twisted worrywart in the heart of one of the most controversial neighborhoods of Athens, and quite literally outlets a tangential view on exhibition-making and structures.
