The BERNIER/ELIADES GALLERY was founded in 1977 in Athens and has since continued working dynamically in the field of contemporary art in Greece. After completing twenty-one years in its old space in Kolonaki, the commercial center of Athens, from January 1999 the gallery is housed in a Neoclassical building in Thission, the historic center of Athens at the foot of the Acropolis. During the gallery's function, Jean Bernier and Marina Eliades have introduced to the Greek public numerous artistic currents, such as Arte Povera, Minimalism, Land and Conceptual Art and the younger generation of American and European artists.

Elina Belou, inspired by her childhood in the Pyrenees and by nature’s enduring cycles, often incorporates in her works collected elements found during her wanderings in nature in an attempt to capture the ephemeral. Rather than serving as mere decoration or ornaments, flowers, branches, ash, and local soils become extensions of the vessel itself, reshaping and transforming its body.

Don’t miss the first exhibition of Elina Belou, titled “LIFE OF A SUNFLOWER” at Bernier/Eliades in Athens. French ceramist Elina Belou resists over-conceptualization, grounded in the belief that objects can exist without narrative justification. Instead, she conceives beauty as a legitimate subject of inquiry, guided by an acute sensitivity to precision, proportion, and balance, and by a search for timeless forms that bridge the archaic and the yet-to-come.

| ON VIEW |

“Upward Downfall (Hoplite)” by Dionisis Kavallieratos is currently on view at the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes as part of Biennale of Contemporary Keramics 2026.

Working across different media, Dionisis Kavallieratos draws on mythology, popular culture, and folk traditions, approaching them through humour, irony, and a sharp sense of critical distance. His work has been exhibited internationally in both solo and group exhibitions, and this year he also participated at the 9th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art "everything must change. Radical Intelligence. Saloniki 9".

Visit “SYMMETRIES” by Tony Cragg in Brussels. Rather than treating materials as fixed or passive, Cragg allows them to assume an active role in the making of each sculpture. Bronze, wood, steel, and composite media are pushed beyond their expected qualities, giving rise to forms that appear simultaneously solid and in motion. The result of the combination of rationality and dream-like thought is gravity-defying silhouettes that transcend the merely visual, inviting an exploration of the previously unimagined.
