The Endangered Lobstermen 🦞

“I’m from Portland born and bred. I was a merchant marine and maintain a masters license. I was heavily involved with the oil and mineral industry in oil fields around the world for 15 years in my early career. My specific lobster industry relationship began when I moved from Scarborough to Port Clyde 7 years ago. I sell lobsters for the Port Clyde Fishermen’s Co Op as Off the Dock Lobster.
In addition to proposed regulations to the lobster industry, I believe, Off Shore Wind and the Oil and Mineral industry trying to secure bottom in the Gulf of Maine are the biggest challenges to the lobster and commercial fishing industries. It seems like big business with big money and strong political contacts will be keeping the industries on our toes.”
