A Sneak Peek of Exhibition Install Phase One...

Lisa Sheppy's creative journey began in the Museum's archives while researching her PhD, ‘An Industrial Craft Reinstated: A Printmaker's Perspective on Tissue Transferware.’ For ‘Ornament Unbound: Tissue Transferware Reframed’, Lisa has selected key objects from the collection that inspired her contemporary works, from engraved copper plates to historic pattern books.

Displayed alongside her artworks, these fascinating archival pieces reveal how Lisa treats the archive as a living resource, uncovering connections between historic production and contemporary making.

Don't miss the chance to see these extraordinary designs brought into a contemporary context.

✨New Exhibition Coming Soon!

See transferware reimagined in ‘Ornament Unbound: Tissue Transferware Reframed’ by artist Lisa Sheppy.

Featuring objects from the Museum collection alongside Lisa's new artworks, the exhibition uncovers the creative dialogue between Worcester's historic ceramic industry and contemporary making.

Ornament Unbound is the first exhibition in ‘Under the Glaze: Reviewing Worcester Porcelain's Art and Design’, a two-year project funded by Arts Council England through National Lottery Project Grants, inviting contemporary artists to explore the Museum's internationally significant collection and reveal fresh perspectives on Worcester's ceramic legacy.
