Tudor House Worcester

Tudor House Worcester Free access to 500 years of history Tudor House brings the lost stories of Worcester’s history to life!

Tudor House is a unique slice of Tudor life in the heart of historic Worcester, run almost entirely by volunteers, who stepped in to take over the running of the museum when it was threatened with closure. Built in the early 1500s for a local cloth maker, it is now a FREE museum where you can explore the different aspects of life in the city, watch textile demonstrations, discover how the Tudors

would have lived and get involved with keeping the city’s heritage alive. Seat yourself in the 17th Century tavern or nose around the 16th Century bedroom, peak in at the ARPs office or refresh yourself in our charming coffee shop, inspired by Richard Cadbury’s work here. Open Wednesday 10:00 - 16:00
Friday 10:00 - 16:00
Saturday 10:00 - 16:00

Two special events coming up at Tudor House very soon!

Next week for we are pleased to be showing our Friar Street Stories series of short films. This fantastic project began in January, when residents past and present from Friar Street came to have their memories of living and working on this historic street recorded.

The resulting films will be shown in the museum on the 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th September 10am-4pm with last entry to the museum at 3.30pm. It's free to visit:)

We're always happy to host the wonderful Lypett Household, Worcester re-enactors. Today they were demonstrating how to create cord, making lavender bags, painting shield designs, playing traditional games with our visitors and generally looking splendid in their 16th century costume. Thank you Lypetts:) X
